Leave the Pits Sideways Shirt

“The craziest devil I ever came across in Formula 1.”
—Niki Lauda

Gilles Villeneuve got his start racing snowmobiles, crashing on sheet ice at 100 mph. Enzo Ferrari loved him; Ronnie Peterson called him a menace. We adore the guy so much, we did an entire episode (INTC #13, "For Love of the Game") on one of his qualifying sessions.

When Gilles died following an accident before the '82 Belgian G.P., the world lost one of the brightest sparks who had ever lived.

And yes, he would exit the pits, in an F1 car, sideways.
